Anubhav Sinha Reflects on 18-Year Silence with Ajay Devgn

 

Filmmaker Anubhav Sinha recently opened up about his unexpected estrangement from actor Ajay Devgn. The two collaborated on the 2007 film Cash, but since then, their communication has ceased.

In a conversation with The Lallantop, Sinha revealed, "We have never fought. He just doesn’t speak to me, and I have no idea why. Since the making of Cash, we haven’t even met for me to tell you he ignored me or something. So, maybe, it's just me overthinking." 

Sinha mentioned that he attempted to reach out to Devgn multiple times but received no response. He speculated that his public comments on political matters might have played a role in the distance between them. "In between, I did comment on people’s political views, so I must have told him something too. But he was not the only person I commented about. I have said things to various people, but I still maintain good relations with them all. I am his admirer and I really respect him as an actor and individual," Sinha added. 

Despite the prolonged silence, Sinha holds Devgn in high regard, describing him as "among my favourite actors" and "like 'yaaro ka yaar'." He emphasized that there was no disagreement between them during the making of Cash, clarifying that any conflicts were between the producer and financier, not involving him or Devgn. 

The reason behind their lack of communication remains unclear, leaving Sinha puzzled about the situation.
